Ancient Corinth

Discover the place that Saint Paul was writing about when he wrote 1st & 2nd Corinthians. Excavators have brought to light findings that go as far back as the Neolithic period (5th millennium BCE).
Ancient Corinth was once a highly advanced city, having invented such things as battle ships (triremes) and founding the Corinthian order; one of the three orders in Classical Greek Architecture.
The city was also renowned for its high standard of living and its many temple prostitutes of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty and sexuality.
